PROFINETanalyzer V2 - your Tol for Diagnosis and Commissioning

The PROFINETanalyzer combines two basic tasks for testing automation systems - PROFINET diagnostics and technical acceptance tests. The comprehensive and yet user-friendly range of functions considerably reduces the time you spend on troubleshooting and acceptance tests.

Use the PROFINETanalyzer to perform a quick and easy diagnosis. Flexible integration options in an existing system, simple user guidance and clear information on the diagnostic results help you to carry out fast diagnosis and troubleshooting. In addition to export functions for all results, a Pcap interface is also available, which allows you to quickly analyze existing recordings or to pass on recorded data to Wireshark for expert analysis by the PROFINETanalyzer.


Get an overview

The PROFINETanalyzer provides you with an overview of all network devices in a quickly readable form. Basic information such as device name, IP configuration, firmware version, order number, serial number or hardware version are part of the overview. By double-clicking on the participant, you can also obtain further information on ports including their configuration. If these are Fibre Optic Ports, system reserve and line lengths are also displayed.

Topology View

The PROFINETanalyzer also prepares a topological representation of the network nodes in a graphically appealing form. If errors are detected during a recording, for example alarms or CRC errors, these are graphically highlighted within the topology to give you a quick overview in case of an error. Another special feature within the topology is the display of the controller domain. From the PROFINET perspective, IO-Devices communicate with at least one PLC. The PROFINETanalyzer visualizes this affiliation in the form of a frame. This allows, for example, robotic cells to be quickly captured, giving you a complete overview of the complete topology of the network. Tedious switching between engineering tools is no longer necessary.


Protocol overview

Use the protocol overview to get a quick overview of what kind of communication takes place in your network. In addition, certain conspicuous features are immediately displayed without your intervention, for example when searching for PROFINET devices.

Technical Acceptance Test

Use the PROFINETanalyzer to perform a system test. This acceptance test enables you to perform the following tests quickly and fully automatically:


Examination of the planning specifications

Determination and documentation that the specifications for the network have been fulfilled by all project participants or, in the case of deviations, their clear identification


Functional test

Determination that the system in its current state is working without any problems and can therefore be used for the production process


Plant documentation

Creation of a complete documentation that allows the system to be reliably accompanied throughout its life cycle with regard to changes, extensions or updates with little effort.

Track your changes

The PROFINETanalyzer supports you in documenting your production plant over its life cycle and in tracking changes. Measurements that you have made within a project are stored in the Analyzer and are available to you at any time. Simply compare two measurements with each other and the differences are clearly displayed in textual as well as graphical form.


In addition, the PROFINETanalyzer also supports the creation of a reference measurement that you can compare with another measurement performed at any time. If you have carried out a measurement that represents the target level valid for you, you can simply mark this measurement as a reference measurement. In this way, you always have the target status in view and can track and detect deviations over time. The project view always gives you an overview of which measurements were carried out when, under which conditions and which results this measurement delivered.
